First time on the lake. Thanks to all for there post’s in the past I’ve read that gave a basic clue of how things go out there to get the Cut’s.
We were late due to a morning project and had to leave early, but I went to check it out anyway.
I know everyone has been having luck with the good old wedding rings, but I looked so long to come up with a hand full of Kok-n-nuts that I had to try one anyway. I used a 5” Sling blade with pink ribs and a chartreuse Kok-n-nut with ½” worm on the rear hook and one egg on the front. I always do the bacon and eggs thing.
Was planning to go out to the center area as most have posted, but was marking big fish all the way out to that first rite you would make to go North so I just started zig zagin that area. Marking fish 50-60’ so ran at 45’ then marking at 20-35’ so after a few times changing my depth I said ahh 30’ and relax a little. 1 hr. after launching and I had one. 19” Cutt jerked the pole a bit but didn’t pop the DR release. Didn’t even fight much until it got about 30’ from the boat I thought I had a little guy.
Well looks like I need to come back when I have more than 2 hrs. to fish.
Sorry about the bad picture my buddy was using my phone.
Thanks again to all that have posted in the past.
