Motor and I hit Silver early again today, hoping for a perch bite like what we'd experienced a few weeks ago. Motor is not gonna like me making this report, but tough!!! Sir, you did an awesome job today landing that fish! While this bite never fully materialized, we did get a few perch. The slow conditions were quickly forgotten when Motor hooked this 39" tiger musky (probably the reason behind our slow perch bite!). He was using a South Bend 30" ULTRALIGHT Thin Ice jigging rod with 4# test. After a long, agonizing 25 minutes, and lots of skillful maneuvering on Motor's part as the fish darted left, right, up, down and in circles, simultaneously making several slow, deliberate, drag-screeching runs, we finally got him to the hole. On several occcasions, I was concerned the rod was going to break near the handle! This rod is designed for panfish! After a few more tense minutes we were able to get his head turned up the hole, at which time I lipped him/iced him with full leather gloves. Gawd, he's got some teeth! Hump backed, too....we don't what that's all about.

Congratulations, Motor1, on your first Tiger musky. You did an awesome job! Now, you owe me a case for my equally awesome assist! Bud, Kokanee, whatever......I'm flexible!

Sorry, folks......I attached a picture of him and his beautiful fish, but darned if it didn't show. Also, I neglected to mention fish was released unharmed after pics.

OK, pic is posted under the "Ice Fishing" forum, under "Silver Lake Tiger Muskies". Couldn't figure out how to re-attach to an already submitted report......if that's even an option.

Sometimes Mike will attach it after the fact, email it to him. I saw the pic, I think he would be happy to attach it! Man that was a hog! Awesome job. I had probs attaching photos, there is some helpful notes in here, maybe in the forums, do a search in there "attaching photos." Also, if you have certain characters in the name of your photo, it won't post,,,, I had "#" . hope that helps.

Mike popped me this note about a month ago:
The other issue is if there are "chararcters" in the file name the picture
won't upload. Things like "#" or "!" or "@" or "&" will do it every time.
your file names have "#".

Nice fish. Unreal on 4#. Good job. I looked at the pic and that fish was caught before and someone held it wrong causing damage to its back or it went wild in too small a net and broke its own back. That's is why its back is humped.
