Hit Kitsap Lake this morning to fish for Rainbow and Cuttthroat Trout. I listened to some suggestions and I decided to troll a black roostertail(untipped) with a sliding egg sinker to keep it on the bottom. I got my first fish around 0810 near Camp Mckeen and my son hooked his fish near same location around 0830. Did not get any more hits so I decided to try to troll a berkley trout nugget with a sliding egg sinker. This seemed to be the bait the trout wanted. My three biggest fish came from the trolled Berkley Trout Nuggets. Fished for six hours and got 1 limit. Two of our trout were 14 inches and extremely fat. The other three were between 12 and 13 inches. Today was a great day to be out on the water. No wind and a lot of birds singing. Fish was just icing on the cake.
Tightlines,
Paul
