Had a bad case of cabin fever for some time so I took a buddy from work with me to Upper Goose lake,but the launch was iced in still(Probably be a week till its clear)So we headed up to the big reservoir to do some jigging for walleye.The Linde Coulee end of the lake and the launch at blythe point were iced up,so we forked out 7 bucks to launch at Mardon.Water was 34 degrees, Burrr! We jigged silver blade jigs in 30-50 ft of water all around Goose island and over some humps outside of Crab creek.We even tried still fishing for trout with powerbait for an hour or two.Nodda.Talked to one boat with 4 guys in it that jigged up 2 Walleye all day.Still felt good to be out in the boat even though we didnt catch squat.Watch out for floating ice chunks.
