Got on the water about 7:15 and fished until 3:30. Not much action until 9:30(1 fish).. My buddy caught that one(15.5"). Pretty windy until 11:30-12:00. After trying a couple diff. things I made my last lure change and that was the ticket. Sling blade followed by a wht and blue hoochie. 3 nice fish landed in next 2.5 hrs (14.5"-17.25"-18"). The 18 was caught only 300 yds from the boat launch. I think it will be time to fire up the smoker this weekend.

The south end of the lake produces larger fish! Thanks for posting!

How long will the cutthroat fishing continue to be decent? This is my first year here.

I`m not sure. It`s my 4th time here. Defiantly worth my drive for some great off season fishing.

Sounds like I need to get the trailer hitch mounted so I can tow the boat.... :)~

You did better than me. I fished by myself on Wed mostly in the north end but I tried the south end also. I managed to get one fish total. Tried various stuff... wedding rings, woolly bugger, small flasher and mini squid. The bite doesnt seem as good as it was. But thats the nature of sea run Cutts, here to day, gone tomorrow, kind of a ghost trout.
