2/11/2011 10:15:00 PMIt seems like the fishing at RW this year has been on the down side. Seems kind of wierd with all the monthly releases that has been going on the last 3 years. there should be plenty of 5 + pound fish to be had.

2/12/2011 9:56:00 AMelk003, that question comes up often. The fish checkers and gamies haven't given any helpful explainations either. There's been numerous reports of tagged fish being caught in the stretch of Columbia between Chief Joseph and Wells, so maybe a sizable percentage has gone over the dam. Thanks for your comment

2/12/2011 3:56:00 PMThe thing about Rufus is even when no fish it is a beautiful lake to boat on and take pictures. Also just wildlife watching and scenery.

2/12/2011 5:13:00 PMelk003, double posts happen when you refresh the page after making a post. At least that is what has happend to me several times. LOL. As for anchoring between the shoreline and the upper pens, I have "heard" they frown on that now. I have seen folks doing it though, so I guess it depends on who is working at the pens at the time. Also, I have noticed there are now lines/cables running from the pens out into the water towards the shore line. Have even hung up on them when trying to fish in there. So if you try it just look for the lines coming off the pens and make adjustments in how you fish. And it would be cool "for the fishermen" to have the tripps in the system to fish for. I'm sure they would present problems of somekind though.

I thought maybe with your experience you may know. Too late? Send them in? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
