So this is my first report on Washington Lakes and will not be my last. I found this lake while searching for "Skateparks" to visit with my two boys. I like to fish they like to skate, perfect combination. We made the trip from Olympia this day and it turned out perfect! Fish and Wildlife recently did some heavy planting on this lake. Arrived at 12:30 boys hit the concrete jungle and I walked right down to the beach. First fish was landed within five minutes. WOW nice brood stock I did not expect that right away. Over an hour span landed four more brood and several small planters about 8" that were promptly released. Had one of my boys come down and hold a pole for a few minutes to make an even 6 fish on the stringer. Fish were 2-3lbs each, wish I could say what a day. It was a great hour!

Many anglers around with lots of questions as they wanted to know "How"? I like to see others catch fish and showed them.... "get out in the middle". I was casting 1oz. slip sinker with a 4lb, 3 foot leader as far out to middle as possible.. 90 yards. Gulp eggs, 2 white and one chartruce. Shared some bait and started watching others reel them in.
