2/21/2011 1:08:00 PMGreat point, Kfedka......I should have included ice info! The ice is solid across the lake, thanks to these continuing sub-freezing nights. Very little melt going on during the days. Closer to the bank it's 8-9". Further out it's 4-5". Not a lot but it's firm and safe. Over the past few days, it's gained about an inch, and will make more in the upcoming week. The only "iffy" area I've seen is on the west side, about 100 yards south of the red boat house. I don't know the source, but there is flowing water entering the lake there, creating an area of open water on warmer days. When it does freeze at night it's only an 1" or so from what I can tell. It can be seen from a distance.
