Great day!!! fish were active and had 7 to the net in 2 hours with plenty of others lost / missed the take. fishing green expoxy chronomid with red butt and a white bead and a black chronomid dropper. most took the green, except the nice tiger trout that hit the black. fished 8-9 foot of water on the north side.

I assume you were fishing the flat just West of the island that is across from the launch? I was fishing there Saturday as well (I was actually just behind the island. I saw 3 or 4 guys catching fish just West of the island. I caught all my fish on green chironomids as well (the dropper), except for 1 on a black chironimid which was the upper fly. I was not sure if the green was the ticket, or if it was just because the green fly was on the bottom, but sounds like they were targeting the green on Saturday. I ended up landing about 10 or 12. Most of the fish I caught on Chironomids were smaller fish in the 15" range. The few I did catch trolling were bigger, in the 20" range. The smaller fish were great fighters...jumping and running...and man, were they fat and healthy. I stayed overnight and fished Sunday as well. I ended up with around 10 again, with 1 nice fat tiger trout (my last fish before heading home). Should be good when the water warms up alittle bit more.

Guys, I am not an avid eastside guy but isn't the limit on that lake one?

It is a selective gear lake, when fishing without scent or bait, you may catch and release as many as you want. Good to see the lake is getting back to form after being "rehabilitated."

When was the lake last rehabilitated? Has been a hand full of years since I last visited Lenice. Come to think of it, is this one of the three lake chain (with Nunnely, and Merry)?

According to the WDFW web site it was done in 2000, yet it doesn't seem that long ago. And yes, Lenice is part of the Merry and Nunnally chain of lakes.
