We had a great time on a perfect late winter day on Chelan. Look how the younger Mr. Crawford was dressed for his "big fish" picture. Jon Crawford, his son David and Charles Leonard came out to fish with us. We had a quick start in the trench, then it went dead for a while. We started out with Kingfisher Lite's from Silver Horde. After the slow stretch we switched to little F7 flatfish in Purple glow and Luminous Chartreuse. We hit a nice bunch of fish at the uplake end of the trench. Then we moved to the face of Manson Bay and caught some nice eater fish to finish out the day.

It was great fun picking on David, but he got in the last laugh by catching the big fish of the day on an outrigger rod. What a great fishing day and generally enjoying perfect weather. A nice break from the line of late winter storms that have been leaving morning snow and afternoon muck...
