Hello Washington... Head out to buena pond this morning with a close friend. We were out there from 9am to 1:30...Had lot of luck with Kastmaster spoons we couldnt keep the trout off of that (was almost unfair) we hooked most of our trout in about an hour then it died down myself hooked about 7 or 8 but only kept a couple 12 1/2" rainbow trout letting my buddy smoke them (never had smoked trout before)..Tried some jig fishing for some bass but no luck then again im still learning how to do that. Any tips would be appreciated. Today we did all our fishing off the shore and like I said it was a trout fest tons of trout was fun to bring them in and release the little ones. Kastmaster Spoons are really hot out there we did try off the dock for a while but just nothing there...after awhile we went on over to the next pond looks like an ideal spot for bass but no luck...although there was a carcass of a huge carp just laying on the shore...not a pretty site. well thats my report hope to fish again soon until next time Washington good luck.

Selective Gear Rules aren't in effect, so treble hooks are ok to use.

For the bass, get yourself a bag of Yamamoto Senkos in Green Pumpkin w/ Black Flake. Get the number 9s's.....4 to 5 inch long. Then get some 2/0 worm hooks, offset style, and rig the Senko weedless and weightless. If you're having trouble picturing how to rig it, just Google it....I'm sure somebody has posted it on Youtube. Cast out, or to likely looking cover, and let it fall. Let it sit. Try all different retrieves... drag/stop, twitch, deadstick (leave it lay on the bottom) and twitch slightly, etc etc. Watch your line closely for twitches, movement, etc. I have never found a bass water where a bass could resist a green pumpkin black flake Senko.

hook. Check your inbox. Looks like you were right near where I caught my bass recently on Buena Pond. Jiggy
