Fished Rock on Sunday pretty windy day but the boat caught limits so it wasn't all bad ha-ha. We found the fish stacked up in one area (after searching all day with only a few bites) and keep working it with a fish or two every pass. Caught one rainbow the rest were browns. Used Rapala XR7 and XRD7 with an orange belly, after we switchrd to this color the bite was on and we caught almost all our fish the last two hours on the right hand side as you head out from the launch. This was my 2nd trip here and am ejoying learning how to fish it.
*This is an addition to my report from yesterday. I had a request to post some pics. I was marking alot of fish in different areas and all were around 100 feet but when we started seeing fish in 25 feet to 15 feet when we were in 60 feet of water was where we started catching them fast. We stayed in that area and tried different colors until we got them to start hitting. The color turned out to be anything with a bright orange belly. My partner was using a rapala xr7 that dives about 7 feet and I used a xrd7 that would go to 15 feet, both worked equally as well and we hit our limit fast after we found them and what color they wanted.. We hit them as the bottom rose to a shelf and then again on the back side of the shelf. We go hits every time we made a pass over the area, they were stacked up on both sides of the shelf any where between 7 and 19 feet.
