I got there about 12:00 started fishin with a perch colored rapala on the north shore, did that for 1 1/2 hours with no luck. I moved over to the south shore, and switched to chartreuse power bait, no luck on that either, while i was bottom fishin, hundreds of trout started surfacing about 30 ft in front of me, so i changed bait yet again to a spinner, orange body, brass blade panther martin size 4( earlier in the year i clipped the other hooks off and filed the barb down, single barbless) 1st cast fish on, 8 inch trout, c&rd unharmed, next cast same, then the fish moved up the lake, i fowolled them and this continued for about 2 1/2 hours. end of the day i caught and released 12 all c&rd without taking their heads out of the water, all unharmed.

Last year shortly after the lakes were planted I went there and tossed a white rooster tail spinner which I had also changed to a single barbless hook and I couldn't keep them off. I caught and released fish after fish for about 3 hours while all the folks at the east end sat there soaking power bait. Nice to hear you had a good time. I'm getting the itch!
