The weather was too nice to stay home on Friday so I launched the boat on American for Koke's. Started at noon, ended at 4. Landed 4 and missed a few others. Spent a lot of time using the electronics to scope the lake. Found a few interesting details I hadn't noticed before. Most of the fish I put up were at 25' on the rigger with around 40' of line behind the release using a HOTSPOT Apex in UV. I was tipping the hooks with Gulp! white maggots for three fish but I did land a fish on bare hooks as well. The water temps are mid to upper 40's. The fish are still slow but it's well worth getting out. Good luck to all.

did you launch at the military or the float plane launch? I haven't launched at the float plane one but am going to try it out as it may be easier since I go by myself sometimes- the fish will be higher and shallower now until it warms up some more but it is nice we can finally start fishing American again before the skiers hit it!

Love those Apex lures, they truly are kokanee killers! Good to hear the bite on American is picking up, thanks for the report.
