Fished Coffee Pot for the first time in about 2 years. Weather cooperated. It was cold and overcast but didn't rain until I got the boat out around noon. Went to the usual haunts along the high rock walls on the southwest side of the lake. No fish there on the finder! Normally this time of year there are too many to count. I did find a small pocket of sizeable trout at about 20 feet on the opposite side of the lake in one small cove. I hooked one nice fish but he spit the hook on a leap out of the water as I avoided getting pushed into some rocks by the wind. I got 2 other strikes on chartreuse and pink flies behind leaded line but went home empty handed.
