Had a friend up from Arizona so took him to my normal spot on Rufus. Fishing was not hot, but I lost one and he caught one. It was his largest ever rainbow at 8.77 pounds so he was estatic about that and he caught it within 15 minutes of being there.
Used the usual powerbait floated up with about 3 foot of leader. Weather was overall nice with some wind gusts. Both fish where hooked with some real good flows as they were spilling water, which was cool to see as we drove towards the dam. Everyone I talked to said when the water flowed faster the bite came on, so the guess work of all about having to have flow seems to be true. Once the they stopped spilling the bite just shut off. So the luck, but it was dang fun fishing with a high school buddy I hadn't seen in 15 plus years.
