The family and I decided to go out to beaver lake Friday, dispite the heavy rain,we were very tired of goin out and having no fish to show for it. We got there at about 5. I fished using pink power eggs with about 1 1/2 ft. liter for my rig, and also tried with a wedding ring, it was hit several times with the worm on it but none were hooked, My step-dad caught the first fish, it was a small planter, around 8" with power eggs. we were expecting small planters for the most part being that there were a few thousand fish dumped on Wednesday. After that the bite was very little. about a half an hour later a nice man came up and gave us the rig he said he was having success on the other side of the lake on his boat (we were at the boat launch). I tried that method and with two minutes I had a fish on this is in the picture with my little brother. After about another four minutes I had the last fish of the day the other picture. The rain was starting to come doen hard and we leftt early wich I was not thrilled with at all. I wished we could have had a few more fish being they were jumping an all of them in that exact spot, but I cant complain about catching the first few fish of the season. In a few weeks thay should be more active, but for now, keep those stringers full! :-)
