Went out to Sprague after working on the house a little bit. Arrived at the lake around noon after hearing it was pretty good out there. We started with a worm and marshmellow on a leader off the bottom without any luck for about an hour. Then we switched it out to trolling an area that we've always had some good success at. No luck today. Didn't even get a bite, another couple boats we talked to didn't get anything either. Oh well, it was fun to take my wife out for the first time this season.

WOW - It seems that in spite of all of the money spent to re-start Sprague, the fish are just not showing up.

What is going on here????????????

What I heard is the fishing is slow, but if you catch one its going to be 22 inch +.

Im wondering if WDFW intention was to turn this into a trout lake again? How are clear/cold water fish going to fair in a lake that is clearly a warm water species lake? It's like Newman out if Spokane. Huge amounts of trout aren't stocked anymore because they can't handle the water quality. Were the trout stocked to give people something to fish for while the bass and panfish rebounded?

Yes, the trout were stocked to provide an interim fishery while the planted warm water species developed.
