Hit American on Sunday, due to a fairly optimistic weather report, for a morning of fishing for Kokanee. Started on the south end of the island but didn't get our first take until the north end. Fish were pretty slow with surface temps between 44 and 45 degrees. We were fishing in between 20 and 30 ft on the riggers using Hot Spot Apex on one side and a pink wedding band on the other. Ended up with 7 to the boat with the largest being around 14". Missed another 5 or so using single hook set ups but I'll fix that before the next outing. Most were on the wedding band tipped with a Gulp maggot.
Weather ended up being pretty bad- windy, cold and rain at times. Still not a bad day.
Good luck and good fishing.
