it has been an excellent week, i fished this lake everyday for the last 5 days, i caught my limit all 5 days with decent size fish on the stringer: 3 trout from 10"-14" except today. i used diff methods everyday,day 1, powerbait way out in the middle of the lake, chartreuse, 2 foot leader. day 2 white and pink size 4 panther martin, hooks clipped/filed to single barbless very close to shore. day 3 worms under a float, very close to shore. day 4 worms on bottom with a slow real/jig retrieve. today i started out with a trout colored f5 rapala, fishing 20-30 ft from shore, couple hits but was a bit slow so i switched to a size 4 holographic green red and yellow panther martin, 2 fish in 15 minutes, little 8 inchers, released unharmed, i swiched to worm and bobber 3 ft lead, 5 minutes later another 8 incher, which was hooked in the lip and released unharmed. then 10 minutes later wham, my line started screaming out of the reel, it ran about 10-15 times before i got it anywhere near shore, it jumped and was a spactacular fight. it measured 20" fat and beautiful, i dont believe it is a tripaloid either, it was proportional, no fin damage, colorful, and very healthy. all fishing was done at hill park at both docks and beach.the weather for the 1st 4 days was light rain, over cast and somewhat windy except today, which was a beautiful day until 2:15 pm when the wind and the rain started back up.
