Hit the East end of the lake about 9:30. Wind was blowing harder than expected so made surface finning hard to see. Hit one bow on black chironomid about 6 feet down, then paddled over to throat area where I noticed a hog finning in the shallows. Moved chironomid to about 1 foot depth and tossed in front of it. SMACK...18 inch tiger with big gnarly teeth. Good fighter too. Wind puffed up and down for about another 3 hours, in between showing a midge hatch of about size 26. Finished about 1:00 p.m. with 2 bows and 2 tigers.
Reeds and mill foil still sparse so give it another two weeks for a good solid hatch.
