We fished from about 10:30am to 6:30pm Saturday and caught 2 fish. Typical Lenore fish at about 20 inches each. The wind was blowing constantly and made it difficult to cast. The wave action was a bit much to present the fly as reasonable copy of the original fly. Water was murky and if there was 2 feet of visibility I would be surprised. There was a fellow there that did catch several but most caught only one or two if any at all.
We fished again Sunday from about 9:30am to about 4:00pm and I caught one and lost another. Nice fish at about 22-23 inches. Dead calm when we started and the wind picked up steady all day. One fellow caught several today using a spinning set up with a 2 fly rigging. Water was again stained and visibility was limited.
I fished a chronimid, mostly snowcone, fly at various depths from 2 feet down to 4 feet. I tried red and black and had the best luck with a red and black combo pattern at about 3 feet with a corky strike indicator.
