Got on the lake around 9:00 a.m. and started trolling on the west end of the lake around the four seasons campgound for about an hour and a half. This turned up nothing. Threw out the anchors off the east side of the island and tried an array of bait off the bottom. Nothing. Moved to the other end of the lake and tried a couple of patterns trolling that had produce fish before. Wham five minutes after starting trolling had a 12-incher in the boat. A couple minutes later another, and another. The fish were not the size that I expected must have been recent plantees. The bite continued throughout the day and the fish got slightly bigger. Total of ten fish in the boat and the biggest being around 18-inches. Caught a nice cutthroat!! My first out of Sprague. All in all not to bad of a day.
