Since it was supposed to be nice until later today I decided to put my boat on the water for the first time today. The boat worked great, the weather however was horrible. I got my boat in the water a little before noon after I waited out the snow. I trolled around a bit with a flatfish, mostly just checking lake depths with my fishfinder since I hadn't been on this lake in a boat. I thought perhaps my fishfinder was broken as I wasn't marking any fish. I trolled around for about 45 minutes and then the hail started. I said "heck with this" and headed back to the ramp as I accomplished what I wanted. When I got into the bay by the boat launch I started marking a few fish (by the mouth of the stream that flows in) and the hail was letting up so I decided to anchor there and fish a bit.

I was marking fish in depths 10'-15', the water temp was 44. I was just using half a crawler about 5 feet under a bobber, and ended up getting my limit within 20 minutes with this set up. The total was 4 rainbows (the lake was just planted a few days ago) and 1 cutthroat. The reason I gave it a rating of 4 was that I got the fish too darn quick :).
