Whitman is the closest to me so if I have just a couple hours I hit it. I only caught a little dink but it was on first cast, my new reel and a new way I rig worms. I though it was gonna be a better day, but thats fishin the northwest for you.
I don't really feel like i'm good enough to recomend any techniques, so I don't do it too often. I don't think there is any magic lures or spots either. I saw a new way to rig a worm. I used a 10" worm to experiment. I also used a 3/0 wide gap hook. The pic. shows how it is put on hook. In the bottom side of worm, I cut down a screw and shoved it into that side so it falls nose first. I cut a couple different sizes of screws for different fall rates. I hope I can get a big one on it.
No sonar but water temp is still colder than I want it to be. Good luck.

Is that the wacky stile? Plum crazy? I have tried that didn't catch any thing. Good deal.

Wacky style with nail head, or screw head, to have it fall to the bottom easier/faster. The nail head also holds the worm end on the bottom while the rest of the worm, and tail, is held up while you wiggle it, so the fish can see it better. :-)

procaster, you can save some money on screws by ordering some nail weights. Lunker city maked them and calls them insert weights. Looks like a lead nail and pushes in real easy. You can cut them down to size use more that one, whatever you want. $3.79 for a pack of 25 through Cabelas. If you go to a weedless wacky style Gamakatsu hook you will prevent snags and increase your hook up ratio. Keep trying new things. I like it. Happy Fishing
