So I went to Lake Boren with my friend at 10 a.m. to go fish for some rainbows. When we got there, there were lots of people fishing and getting fish while we got nothing. The reason was is that they all used power bait. We had used rooster tails. Then we moved to the other side of the lake and i hooked up with a 1lb bass. Then as soon as it was 12 we moved back to the park dock and hooked up a bunch of trout and lost about 8-10 trouts. I ended up landing 5 trout, I had to release one because it was under sized and gave one to my friend to even out the fishes so both of us got 3 fish. If you do go out there use rooster tails around 12 p.m.-5 p.m. thats when they start hitting those on 1-3 feet of water. The fish i kept were about 11 inches.
