I got to flowing lake at about 4:00pm i put the raft in and started trolling an f5 rapala, rainbow, fish were boiling all over the wind was calm, and sun was out nice day. About 30 mins into it, the wind picked up to roughly 3-5mph... i hadnt got any taps by then so i decided to head back to shore, and fish off the dock(northside) rather than get blown all over the lake.. so i started off trying lures, i threw spinners, spoons and plugs, no takes. Then these kids showed up, casted, 1 minute later bam, triploid, they were using bait so i switched up. While the kids were landing the fish, i went over to see how big it was, half paying attention to my rod.. of course, because i was on the far side of the dock away from my rod, i got a hit, i noticed it bouncing, and started to run towards it, it started dragging my pole toward the water so i dived from 10 feet away and grabbed the rod, 4"from the water! i set the hook and brought it in, 16" trip. that guy almost took everything hook line sinker rod & reel!!! anyway after switching to bait fishing stayed consistant until i left. i ended up with 5 16 inch trips give or take a 1/2". 2 of them had parasites on them too by the way....its ok the wound is were their guts are so ill just cut it off anyway...i left at 7, 3 hours 5 trips, not bad at all...
