YAAYYY!!!!...now that's what the put'n take deal is all about....good on ya's....my kido practiced his casting in the yard when he finally got "hooked"...got his timing tuned up... and had low hang'n branchs to cast under...would set out a old bucket to shoot at for long casts...and he learned his pitch'n and flip'n stand'n on his bed shoot'n at cereal bowles....then he upgraded from his Zebco 202 and had to start all over...lolol....WTG...GL out there....DOG

Thanks! I had a great time with him. I've tried for the past couple years to get him to go, but he just didn't seem interested. I figured I just let it go until he was good and ready.

It's kind of funny, he got in trouble in school on Friday, and I had to give him a good tongue lashing and a grounding when I got home. He moped around the house while I got my gear ready for Saturday morning, and I felt kinda bad for him. I asked him if he would like to go fishing with me on Sunday, which I was pleasantly surprised he said yes.

He helped me get the gear together and kept telling his mom how much he liked "working" with dad. He was so excited and happy to catch fish, before we were even done for the day, he was asking to go back on Monday. It was a great weekend...one of those times it gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling. :-)
