Tried to take the family out for some time on the water with the nice weather. Got started at 11:30. Few guys coming off the lake said it was slow. We trolled up the lake pulling a silver spoon, a gold spoon, and a wedding ring tipped with worm for my 5 year old. About 15 minutes into it we picked up a 10" on the silver spoon (temporary entertainment for the children). At the north end of the lake we caught a 9" on the silver spoon. Swapped the gold spoon with a flatfish and immediately had one on, but not for long. Our 2 year old decided she'd had enough of being stuck in a boat and a life jacket, so that put an end to the day at 12:30. I had one more hit on the flatfish on the way back to the launch. Not one nibble on the wedding ring/worm combo, which is usually a money maker. Not a relaxing trip, but we didn't get skunked either.
