Hit fish lake again today after taking the weekend off. I arrived around noon, the weather was wet and miserable, and the surface temp was a steady 47. I started getting bites right away using my trusty black rooster tail and boated two stocker bows in short order. For my third fish I wanted to see if a small perch color Rapala would get me anything bigger, so as I was testing the action of the lure next to the boat I had another stocker bow come right up to the boat and grab it, figured that was a good sign, but ended up being the only one I caught on it. I got my 5th fish around 3 and headed home to warm up.
All 5 were rainbow's today, all in the 10"-11" range. I did have one very large fish on, but unfortunately it spit the hook before I could get eyes on it. I'll probably head to Lake Walker tomorrow or Wednesday for a change of scenery.
