Had a half hour to spare between jobs while I was down in Lacey today. I spotted a trail that looked like it led down to the shore, and after following it down I was pleasantly surprised to find a nice open spot to fish from the bank. I cast out and not twenty seconds later had a small rainbow to shore! Caught a couple more before I had to go...the weight would hardly get to the bottom before getting a hit. All fish were small, around 10 inches, and I released them carefully after removing the hook with surgical precision:) Beautiful day to spend a few spare minutes at fishing in solitude, and I was even rewarded with three aerials from one of the small and feisty trout. Would have rated it higher if they had any size....but the bite is on!
