Thought I'd take a look-see at how Fish Lake is after the season opened. Not quite combat fishing, but close. Floating fishing pier isn't out in the water yet. Lots of shore fisherpeople and trollers.
Most everybody was chucking bait on giant plastic floats. Saw two fish caught - long skinny tiger trout.
I stuck with selective-gear since it's what I'd had on the line when I was fishing Medical a few months back. C&R'd one small tiger trout.
Aside from the ghetto-ness of Fish Lake, it's not as much fun fishing with the setting sun in your eyes. Shoreline's not the easiest to navigate, and the trollers insist on boating close to shore and right in your casting path.
It was nice to get out though.
