Just spent 3 days in central and eastern Washington. Mainly fished Banks Lake but took a couple of side trips, one to Jameson and another to Blue Lake.
Banks was full of all kinds of fish too bashful to get in the boat no matter what I tried to bribe them with. I did manage a couple of very small walleye trolling a Mac's Special in black and green with a healthy chunk of crawler. Took a break and loaded the boat for a drive over to Jameson. Should've stayed at Banks. In two and half hours I saw ONE small rainbow landed and it wasn't on my rod. Loaded up again and went down to Blue. Saw people catching fish but it was getting late in the day so headed back to Banks for the "evening bite". Trolling a Rapala 4" pikeminnow on my fly rod with 40' of 10lb mono behind a sinktip line and started smacking rainbows around 4:30. Lost two landed two , including the one in the picture which I invited back to camp for dinner! Weather was great, no crowds, fun trip! My apologies for the picture quality. Hard to photograph an unwilling subject!
