Decided to go down to Golf Course Pond for some trout. Didn't expect much but as soon as i arrived i could see trout jumping out of the water before I could even park my car! they were seriously jumping every where. I was thinking to myself its going to be a very interesting day and it was. Caught fish consistently. The hatchery stocked the pond up with a whole mess load of trout in the 6-12" range (pictured). There were a few triploids in the pond that were well above 14". The fish were in the shallows and i didnt even have to cast far at all. Since fish were surfacing everywhere i put on a bobber and a worm and powerbait combination and it turned out to be a fun day. I kept hooking the little guys and releasing them until i got real lucky and caught this beautiful 16" triploid (pictured). Everyone else on the pond today were using sinkers and nothing produced for them. Then seeing what i was doing a few of them threw on a bobber and a piece of worm and soon they were catching more fish than i was. Overall it was an unusually fun day at Golf Course Pond. Usually I only get one or two bites. The smaller fish will be great for sturgeon bait. Good luck to you all.
