Well I finally made it out to Banks for the first time this year. I started off fishing smallies and was able to find a few of them in Old Devils lake area. I think we boated 7 bass in two hours. Not great for Banks lake standards but I'll take it considering water temps were 49 degrees. Managed to land one big smallie weighing in at 6.28 lbs kept her in my livewell to take a couple pics then ran back and released her back at the launch. Next time I will remember to put the camera in the boat. Decided to try for some walleyes next. Fish my favorite locations with only one small 14 incher for two hours. Decided to try one more spot, and I am glad I did almost instantly we were in em'. landed 9 walleye including this 13lb 3 ouncer. I wish I could have released her but my jig had destroyed her gills. I never like to keep the big females but this one is going on my wall. Then just as if a switch was flipped they quit biting. But all in all sunny weather for a while and a few fish. Good day. PB
