Was supposed to fish Spanaway with Arniejl, but I screwed those plans up. So he came over to American and met me, and we went out to see what the smallies were doin. Started the day throwin 1/2 oz bleeding shad rattle trap. Got a 2 1/2 pounder right before I picked up Arnie, got another smaller one off the same spot later. Had some small trout hittin the trap as well... The weather was not very friendly, one minute you think you can take your jacket off, the next it's a downpour with gale winds. We checked out alot of spawning areas only to find a couple of rock bass beds. Arnie took me to one of his favorite docks and I caught a dink with a Sniper bolt on a drop shot. After that I dropped Arnie off so that he had time to take his wife out fishin. I saw a little break in the weather so I headed to the north to check some spots up there. got three more smallies, and three more trout on the Sniper bolt. Nothing big though. At that point the weather got really nasty and was hard to keep the boat off the docks, so I headed in. The fish want to be up, but this weather......dont even get me started....
