Finally got to do some fishin'. It has been a long dry spell. My oldest just got home from his first year of college & was ready for a day of fun. (My youngest got me in trouble with his mother as I let him have a day of outdoor education!) LOL. Bright and early for a college kid (10:30 AM) we headed out to get him a fishing license. Around mid-day on our way alongside of Lake Chelan I saw a nice sleek red boat coming off the water( Joe Heinlin I believe). In the distance over by Lakeside I could see a blue boat ( Blu-fin Loui I believe). And it felt like I was back in heaven again! My boys were giving me a hard time about my old eyes. I was trying to get used to a new pair of polarized Bi-focals on the drive there. (I have a lot of adapting to do!) But, I'll get over it.LOL. We trolled woolly buggers in black & red behind action disks for a few scatterred, small rainbow. Then we hit the tullies for spiny ray. Mostly small Crappie but,one about 12'' mixed in with the rest! And one 8'' Bluegill. The sun was penetrating & the breeze offset it. What a great day out.
We did different type of fishing or hunting on the way home. We stopped and picked a grocery bag full of asparagus!
Sorry no pics. Tight lines to all.

Way to Go afk. Fish and fresh asparagus, all in one trip. That is a great day out. Great to read a report from ya. Hope you're back on the water soon.

Yes, way to go! Nice touch with the asparagus, goes well with fillets. Graduated lenses without the lines? Easier to get used to, but still weird. If memory serves it's been a while between trips, if you wrote 'em up. I confess I skip reporting on a few. There have been a couple I thought no one would believe anyway! Lots of fun when your offspring can accompany. Although my grandson dropped my rod last time, my son did well chartering for ling and bottom fish yesterday. Fish on sir!

Christian, This was my first time out since Feb.! Way too long of a dry spell. The glasses are actually just polarized fishing glasses with 1+50 magnafiers. They worked better driving than fishing. They help for knot tying but, on the dock, in the boat & when fishing I'm all too often looking down in the lower part of the lenses. I've got some adapting to do. It was well worth the waite for my oldest to roll out to join us. It was great bonding time. I too skip reporting at times. I tend to push my pleasure & fishing time to the maximum & am worn out when the day is done. I admire those who fish & report in the same day!
