I dont usually decide where to fish based on the reports, but Elijahs report was too tempting. My goal this season was to pursue bass. My friend and I went to Log Boom Park. This dock has never ever produce any fish for me in the past. I figured I would give this dock another shot.

We were there for two hours and used everything from senkos, rapalas, spinnerbaits and jigs. My buddy caught one dink lmb. I didnt have any bite. I was also able to practice using a baitcaster. Didnt have any major bird nest cut only casted 20 ft.

I dont know how you do it Elijah, but you got skills bro, Much props to you

Thanks for the report! I too decided this was the year to target bass for the first time. I've had limited success so empathize with your pain on the task at hand. A friend of mine has tried to talk me into targeting bass for years, alas, he lives about 300 miles away so not available for pointers. Ha Ha! It's the adventure.

hey man, don't be so hard on yourself. i was just lucky enough to fish it on the perfect day when nobody else was fishing for bass. since my report, which is HORRIBLY REGRET POSTING, this place has been extremely overfished. ever since i posted, i have gone everyday rain or shine and haven't done even remotely as well as that first day. so many people have fished there, some even taking bass, that the bass have either been caught too many times and wised up, or have moved on to other parts of the lake. i got skunked 3 days in a row, then caught 2 bass, then 1 bass, then got skunked again, then caught 1 bass. the bass fishing at log boom is very difficult right now :P

Yes, the place hasn't put out fish like that since Elijah posted the report. I'm going to have to take out my boat on a calm day I think. Elijah and Return of the fish, you're welcome to come out on it if you want, it's pretty big, I'm sure the fish have just moved on to a different dock. They'll be back though.

Have they moved up on there beds? Maybe they have a little lock jaw going on now, just a thought.

or maybe if you knew what you were talking about, you wouldn't make douchebag comments like that. wow i put plastics as my tackle, BIG SURPRISE. it's called heavy fishing pressure, regardless if people know what exactly you did or not.

returnofthefish - Thanks for the report, I have never had any luck there either, though thinking I might have to give it a try since it is close to home. Also, there is a delete button next to each of the report comments, this is your report, if the comments are not to your liking - get rid of em. .... duckmen - it is up to the person entering the report to decide how much detail to share, not you - if you have a valid problem with a report, contact myself or one of the other mods and we will look into it. If you just don't like the report, then dont read it.

i dont have a problem with the reports, elijah was mad that his area was getting fished so hard so just let him know why.
truth hurts when you do it to yourself
he got defensive about my first message and that is because he knows i'm right
