The Barbers of Castle Rock came out and fished with us this morning. It was a very windy start with gusts over 30, but it started to lay down as soon as we started to fish. The run below the Bar netted one fish so we moved to Manson Bay. We really got bit on our downlake passes. They were very partial to the little F7 Flatfish in Purple Glow. Fish them pretty slow. 1.1 to 1.4 mph is the ticket. Stay focused, it's a steep ledge. Very easy to lose gear. The fish pulled off a lot. In 4 hours of fishing we had 13 or 14 on, but only 6 in the boat. It was a great day! By 9 AM it was very pleasant out.
