My friend and I got a late start fishing American lake today.We were fishing by about 10. We started trolling immediately out of the launch and were headed straight for the north side of the island to get out of the wind, we picked up our first kokanee within 5min and the next about 30sec later. We were thinking its going to be a great day, but then strong gusts of wind and rain which turned hail showed up and made it very hard to fish but we managed to pull in 2 more fish while all this was happening. We finally decided to get out of the rain for a while at bills until it cleared up and it did within 20min and then it was back to fishing. We fished for another 2 hours and only pulled in 1 more fish. Even though it was raining it was still a great day on the water with my friend, all the fish were measured at 14in and fat.
