5/29/2011 3:49:00 PMI fish for crappie on leland too and while i do ok i never do as good as you do. I also use your jigs, what's your secret? and what is the outlet? if you don't mind me asking. I really like reading all your posts by the way, they are very informative.

5/29/2011 6:47:00 PMActually there is normally one, but with this high water on the North end of the lake about middle of the lilly pad field. You should never be deeper than 10', do not over jig, just little action, try tipping your hook with a maggot or waxy or very small piece of worm, bug juice of some sort works too. Remember 99% of Crappie fishing is just finding them... I usually drift along and cast with the spinner jig until I get confirmation then I will either switch to a jig under a float or just jigging if there is structure. Good electronics is a nice thing to have too!
