Fished from 4-8 pm in the south end of the lake. Hardly any wind. Still quite a lot of floating algae. Water clarity was moderately clear. Water temp ranged from 52-56 mainly, with one spot that was as high as 60. Lots of surface activity, some of it was carp, with many cruising close to the surface. Lake level is down a bit compared with a few weeks ago.

Started at one of the usual spots and got three browns right off the bat, all on a yellow lipless crankbait close to shore or in about 20 feet of water. One of the browns was pretty decent, chunky, maybe about 19-20" released. Then nothing for quite awhile.

Tried another spot, picked up one more brown, then just cruised down the shoreline towards the launch for about a mile or so, bites were steady. With another flurry of three browns in quick succession by a cliff on a fire tiger husky jerk. Only one rainbow caught, which was football shaped and fought like a champ. Bite seemed to have stopped during the last hour or so. Overall a better than average trip. Ran into two guys who said that they had caught a 6 and 3 lb brown (maybe trolling?) yesterday when it was windy and probably raining. They hadn't picked up anything fishing all day today. Said that yesterday folks shore fishing at the launch had done pretty well.
