NWBASS Tournament on Potholes Reservoir June 4th

Held out of MarDon Resort

Tournament was won by Lynch & Tripp with almost 23 lbs. of Largemouth

Levi Rodelo & I finished in the 30's somewhere with 16.30 lbs. for 3 Lm's and 2 Sm's. We should have just Largemouth fished the whole day. Lost one 4 lb. LM that wouldve got us to 18-19lbs.

The Largemouth fishing is on FIRE!! Some fish are on beds, and Post spawn Largemouth are getting aggressive again back in the dunes in 3-6 feet of water. You can also catch protective males guarding fry. Smallmouth are in all depths but not in any size much anymore.

We caught all of our larger fish either on a Black and Blue Tube or a Terminator Finesse Jig tipped with a Yamamoto Grub. Althought the Smallmouth did bite one of the new Rapala Max Rap Jerkbaits.

I will be working at MARDON RESORT the rest of the summer, so come visit! I will be doing guided trips, full day, morning before work or afternoon/night trips!
