Well I fished Silver today with my client Dean P. who had never caught a Tiger Muskie. When we got on the lake it was dead calm and sunny, by the end of the day it was windy and cloudy. Water temp was 63.0 degrees. Dean made 3 casts and caught this nice 40"x 16" girth. We never seen another fish till later in the day when we deceided to troll our way back when he hit this other nice 41"x 15.5" Tiger. Not a bad day fishing for someone who had never caught one before LOL... Glad you had a great day on the lake Dean....Good luck fishing everyone....Give us a call if you want to catch some Tigers like these...

AWESOME!! Silvers really looking good right now! Nice Fish Dean!! Two fish on your first shot, it doesn't get any better than that. The tail on that 2nd fish looks really nice, not all chewed up like usual.

Great way to get someone hooked on the fishery with those tigers. Well done. The second pic shows the tiger with very healthy fins.

The first one had a large bump on the top of its nose. Tried to get a pic of it after the fact and phone went to bottom of lake and had to retrieve LOL. Luckily I dried it out in rice and it still works and was able to save pics,, The fins did look nice and healthy...

Dont know if anyone knows for sure but I've been told they come from the hatchery that way. It would be nice to know for sure cause seems like almost of the fish I've caught out of Newman and Silver have had bad tails...

I think you are right about the hatchery. They need to be raised large enough that they can survive, and by then they are trying to eat each other. LOL Idaho tried to plant them when they were only about 4 or 5 inches in size and they got very poor survival, but the fins were better. Keep in mind, this is information from the late 89's, so who knows what is the current theory.
