Hit Hicks Lake yesterday...4-9 p.m.....we started out with crank baits and pumpkin colored plastics....nothing.....I casted out 2 feet from the shoreline into some submerged lilys...hooked and landed a 2 lb largemouth...nice and clean....fish all over the lily fields and had several follow a perch colored stick bait. Hooked a second smaller LMB....released all.

Fished across from the public launch and hooked a jumping trout with a crank bait and he jumped off before I could boat 'em.

My buddy caught 4 LMB and released 3....spinners is what I think he said he hooked them on. Wish we could have fished a little longer but I had to get to work (graveyard!)!

All in all...pretty good few hours of fishing!
