Took advantage of a nice afternoon and headed to Lake Spokane (Long) for some smallie fishing. Arrived at the 9 mile launch only to see the water flowing over the dock, so we headed up to the DNR launch. Put in around 3pm, was very windy, water temps were in the low 60's. Headed up to the dam and worked our way back fishing mostly the calm coves, caught about a dozen smallies, caught a couple using a white chatterbait and perch crankbait, but caught most using a zoom watermelon w/red flake grub with a shaky head. Nothing over 2.5lbs. Had to dodge some huge floating pieces of wood so be careful out there. Happy fishing!
