Got to lake around 1 o'clock with water temps at public launch at 63 degrees which all places visited today on the lake was this temp-wind with slightly overcast skies-water clarity was slightly over 4 foot depending on surface ripples from wind-most productive lure black and blue jig with black and blue Uncle Josh Big Daddy Pork Frog with rattle-presentation pitchin 20 pound line on a 7ft 6in. flipping pole back under overhanging brush into 1 ft. of water with quick descent to deeper water-pick up was with line movement only-tried top water frog but only had one strike at lure but was really small so fish missed lure in floating slime which is showing up all over the lake as usual at this time of year for this lake-Largest fish caught 4lbs looks like fish are still in the spawn cycle looking at condition of fish.-Water level on this lake has dropped about a foot in about a week and a half so the weed growth is going to be thick again this year- As always fish was released unharmed.
