Went down to Lake WA to practice bait casting. I wanted to target bass this year, but I have been busy. My pole was rigged with a texas rig worm and on the second cast, I had a major birds nest. After ripping a bunch of line out, all of the brakes were turned on instead of three. Casted for about an hour without any fish and any more birdnests. The Curado felt real smooth and it seem effortless when I was reeling.
I was gonna leave when the guy near me screamed that he needed help. He had a big carp on the end of his line. He fought this thing for several minutes. The carp was peeling line and this guy was trying to reel in at the same time. He gets the carp close enough to the dock and I net it for him. He was the so happy that he called his wife and went home to eat it. I wouldnt mind having that carp at the end of my line because the fight looked fun. He was using a bottom rig with corn for those that want to know.
