Went out and fun fished today for a few hours during the day and a few hours at sundown.

Went for smallmouth at lunchtime. Water was 61F at the dam. Hooked a HUGE walleye, probably the largest I've ever seen. Saw it roll once and it came off. It was only in about 10 ft. of water. Then I hooked up with a chunky 3 lb. smallmouth. We got a few more bites from smaller ones. Decided to head in. Caught the smallmouth on a chartruese Yamamoto Tube.

Took my buddy out at sundown for some topwater, I had a 5 lb.Largemouth bust on my topwater and lost him halfway to the boat because I was on the phone with my buddy talking about fishing next weekend. Go figure. My buddy also caught a 2 lb smallie.

The walleye guys have been hitting it pretty good right now.
