Started at 5 a.m. from the boat house. Trolled at 36ft deep on one down rigger, and 44ft deep on the other down rigger, both about 25-30ft behind the boat in 45-80ft total depth. I used a pink/violet UV watermellon dodger with a homemade shrimp I tied up using fly tying gear, tipped hooks with shoenpeg corn and one pink gulp maggot, used anise scent. Mike used a Pink UV dodger, with a Uncle Bill's Pink UV minishrimp tipped with white gulp maggots and no scent. Limited by 6:45 a.m.. All fish were approx 13 inches though some were nice and thick. Would have limited much sooner had we not lost 3 fish in the first 20 minutes. Time to sharpen some hooks!!! Tight Lines!!!

Noticed that fishing is better when we troll with the electric trolling motor most of the time. Trolled very very slowly, and when the bite slowed down we increased the speed slightly and that did the trick to entice the last few bites. Overcast weather with slight drizzle provided optimum conditions.
